Choose around the journey you will repeat each day. Centre suits centre-based lessons and village reunions; La Daille brings its gondola, ESF departures and coach station into one area; Le Fornet offers a separate hamlet base beside its cable car. For beginners and families, the booked lesson marker matters more than a property’s claim to be near a lift.

Main trade-off
Centre
Solaise and Olympique at the central snow front; ESF markers vary by activity and age.
Lessons, hire and village reunions are centred here.
A coach arriving at La Daille still leaves a local journey with luggage.
La Daille
La Daille gondola; separate ESF group/private markers; intercity coach station.
Both your arrival ticket and lessons use La Daille.
Centre-based lessons or reunions create a repeated village journey.
Le Fornet
Fornet cable car in a separate hamlet, linked by the Red shuttle.
You deliberately want the hamlet and Fornet as your starting point.
A course booked in Centre or La Daille still needs that journey.
Centre suits you if your group’s lessons, equipment collection and village plans are based around the centre. The snow front gives you Solaise and Olympique departures, with the tourist office and Centre lesson meeting points nearby.
La Daille suits you if you want to base your stay around its gondola and ESF lesson departures, especially when your coach also stops here. It brings arrival and ski-morning plans into the same area.
Le Fornet suits you if you want a separate hamlet base with the Fornet cable car as your mountain starting point. The main village shuttle connects it with Centre and La Daille for plans elsewhere.
Use your actual course and arrival stop to test an area before choosing a property.
A first lesson in Centre
If the lesson and rental fitting are both in Centre, shortlist around those addresses first. Keep the first morning focused on getting ready, rather than adding a cross-village departure.
La Daille can bring arrival and the daily lesson area together. Match the stop on the transfer ticket and the school’s group/private marker; neither tells you the route to a particular apartment.
Choose Le Fornet for the stay you want there, then include the shuttle in each shared meal or Centre lesson. If that happens morning and evening, compare the routine with a Centre property.
The Red route links La Daille and Le Fornet through the village corridor.
Winter timetable section 2026/27: 28 Nov 2026–2 May 2027. Published daytime departures are approximately every ten minutes. Blue serves Rond-Point des Pistes–Legettaz; Yellow serves Le Coin–Le Manchet.
The dated winter page does not yet confirm the Red route’s last return. Set an evening plan from the current stop timetable before relying on a late meal in another area. The separate Tignes shuttle’s winter timetable is still forthcoming.
Before paying, ask your host for the exact address, arrival arrangements, equipment storage and the route to your meeting point. Confirm accessibility needs directly with the property.
