The council’s 4 May minutes record approval of the summer agreement between the municipality, lift operator STVI and Val d’Isère Tourisme. It maintained free pedestrian access to the lifts covered by the agreement and approved Bike Park pricing for summer 2026.
The discussion also put the following summer on the agenda: the town intended to work with Tignes on a shared proposal for 2027. That was a discussion about future arrangements, not a decision to extend the same terms indefinitely.
This helps explain the distinction between sightseeing access and paid mountain biking in the 2026 summer offer. It is a record of that summer’s policy, not a free-lift offer for winter or a confirmed tariff for summer 2027.
